In our willingness to fully understand everything about Gender and Development (GAD), we

seminar on the said program. The training entitled GAD focus on Anti-Violence against Women
and their children, (VAWC) Republic Act No. 9262. It aims of promoting gender concerns and our
initial commitment to establish a core gender advocates who will be active and functional in
doing their duties and responsibilities. This will be held on October 30-31, 2019 at Shercon
Resort and Ecology Park at Brgy. San Sebastian, Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas.

Casasahan Elementary School Gender and Development 2019 Training Design

I. Project/Training

“ Casasahan Elementary School Gender Awareness in VAWC – Violence against


Women and Children Rights’’

II. Rationale:

As mandated by Article II, Section 6 on our ‘‘GAD Code’’, All school’s officers and
establishments or companies, departments and agencies, both public and private shall provide
Gender Sensitivity Training to their officials and employees and provide them with theoretical
and practical knowledge on gender issues and concerns.’’ Relatively, as stated in Republic Act
No. 9262, an Act Defining Violence against Women and their Children, for providing protective
measures for victims and prescribing penalties. Therefore, and for other purposes this must be
done to incorporate Gender and Development (GAD) efforts in their planning, programming and
training.

III. Objectives:

 Create an atmosphere of gender equality


 Equip Casasahan E/S Teachers essential information about GAD and VAWC
 Stimulate positive attitude towards the significance of GAD in the promotion of its
ideals and philosophy
 Strengthened harmonious relations among teachers in Casasahan E/S.
 Make an individual journal of personal reflection on the significant of GAD and VAWC
in his/her actual situation.

All teachers of Casasahan Elementary School in Gumaca West District will be

of Gender Awareness Development.
