b. How can you evaluate or measure information quality?

Different factors can be used to assess the quality of information.


Check to see whether the information is accurate by checking if the sources
have references that are cited. It is also crucial to double-check if the data
is relevant to the issue or topic. The author's credentials, as well as his or
her organization and corporation, should be taken into account while
evaluating the content. Lastly, the content should not be bias. It should
provide many perspectives on a topic while being objective. When
gathering information from various sources, we should always keep these
variables in mind.

What type of information are they responsible for, or
the information they receive and pass on to the
community?
She is responsible of the information
about the community since she is a clerk from
the office of barangay Maduya. The
information she passes are concerning the
updates, data, information about the locality of
Maduya Carmona, Cavite. It includes the date
of a certain event, the update about the daily
cases of COVID 19, and occurring issues
which are to be resolved. She is working for
the barangay which means she also acquire the
needed data and information from the
community or the local area.

How is the type of information that they handle helpful to the community? In what ways does passing on this
information help the community?
Certain issues that are need to be addressed are being handled by them. By that,
these issues are given resolution which are helpful to the community. The information they
passes also gives knowledge to the people who needs it. Several implementation for the
community are also passed on so that the community would know and cooperate. They are
also responsible about the information about safety measures in COVID 19 which are
important to the community to keep and ensure the safety of the people. These information
are being passed in two ways; digital way wherein technological tools such as cellular
phones and computers are used to update and pass information: and the virtual way where
the barangay officials and the people are having a meeting to provide and receive
information. Through these, the safety of people are assured. The issues are settled and
resolved to avoid conflicts inside the community.
How do they know that the information you pass on is accurate?
They know that the information they pass is accurate once they check the credibility
and quality of it. They make sure that the source of information is reliable to avoid
mistakes, error and bias.

What difficulties do they face in passing on this information to others?


In some cases, the information is not totally received by some because of errors in
communication. Another difficulty is that, people do not give importance to the given
information such as the safety measures which some people do not follow.

Are these pieces of information available in popular media? In what media?


Yes, the information are available in popular media which is the internet,
specifically Facebook. Since almost everyone have a Facebook account, it is one of the
best media to provide information to make sure that they would read and understand it.
