The resolution requests that the Mayor of Puerto Princesa City approve the construction of a new school building at Baruang Elementary School using funds from the city's Special Education Fund. The current building only has 5 classrooms and cannot accommodate the school's 117 students, forcing some grades to use the canteen and library as classrooms. The Local Government Code stipulates that education funds can be used to construct new school buildings. The resolution argues that an additional building would help students and faculty by providing proper classrooms.
