Our 100th day of school will be on January Thank you for your help with snacks! 31st. (This date will change if we have snow days between now and then.) This is a BIG DEAL in kindergarten! We will have many activities on that day that revolve around the number 100.
Also, we are asking each student to make a
100th Day of School T-Shirt. This should be a shirt with 100 items attached to it. In the Monday – PE (wear tennis shoes) past, we have had shirts with 100 buttons, Tuesday – Art 100 iron-on patches, etc. Pinterest.com has Wednesday – Library (return library book) pictures of many shirts that families have Thursday – PE (wear tennis shoes) made. Mrs. Guenthner and I will be wearing Friday – Art our 100th day shirts, too. We can’t wait to see your creations!!
THIS WEEK IN MATH…
We are still working on measurement. This week, we are COMPARING objects by size. The students will be learning to make statements like: “The pencil is longer than the glue stick. The table is taller than the Jan. 31 – 100th Day of School stool.” Etc. Feb. 16 – Valentine Party Feb. 17 – No School THIS WEEK IN READING… Feb. 20 – No School We are working in reading groups each day. Student are learning how to blend sounds to Have a great week! read short words, and they are working hard Mrs. Becky on popcorn words.
