Can schools continue during the pandemic?

If so, how would you address the curriculum vis-a-vis the situation that prevails during the
pandemic?

Yes, School can continue during pandemic, there must be a program that needs to be followed
and provide. During pandemic we teachers pertains to the curricular programs, our teaching, our
resources and learning environment. Lots of adjustment on our parts as an educator about the
types of assessment measures as a major factor amid this pandemic. There are lot’s of need to
limit the requirements and focus on the major essential projects that measure the enduring
learning outcomes like case scenarios, problem-based activities, etc. Also, Authentic assessments
have to be intensified to ensure that competencies are acquired by the learners. In the process of
modifying the curriculum amid the pandemic, we must be remembered that initiatives and
evaluation tasks must be anchored on what our learners needs, including their safety and well-
being.

One of the most prevailing parts is the change in curriculum because of the pandemic. A
recalibration in the Curriculum is about the content of what is to be learned and taught, and also
on how it is to be learned, taught, and assessed in the context of the challenges brought about
by covid 19. The challenge during the pandemic is how to create a balance between relevant
basic competencies for the students to acquire and we the teachers’ desire to achieve the
intended outcomes of the curriculum.

The learners’ engagement in the teaching-learning process needs to be taken into consideration
in the context of flexibility. This is about the design and development of productive learning
experiences so that each learner is exposed to most of the learning opportunities. Considering
that face-to-face modality is not feasible during the pandemic, teachers may consider flexible
distant learning options like correspondence teaching, module-based learning, project-based, and
television broadcast. For learners with internet connectivity, computer-assisted instruction,
synchronous online learning, asynchronous online learning, collaborative e-learning may be
considered.
Choose three skills that should be addressed by the curriculum in the 21st century.  Elaborate on
your answers.

I choose the Health Issues, Technology Revolution, and lastly the Environmental Sustainability.
We are now at the most advance and high technological era of human life. The use of technology
also gives a negative implication on the physical and mental health to the society. Most of the
time people are spending to do all things like doing work, video games, talking to friends online,
and others through technological advances. Many disadvantages from the point of health for
those who addicted to the use of technology: the cause of obesity, sleeping disorders, loss of
hearing and damage eyesight, and wreck our spine. But there are things that we can do to
change or to solve every problem that might come to our life. We must conserve energy. We
should be more responsible to conserving the natural resources and protect global ecosystems to
support health and wellbeing, now and in the future. Eat natural and nutritious foods, avoid
foods that have high in calories and fats. Sustainability goes beyond nature itself. We have to
simultaneously recognize that oppressed communities are more severely impacted by
environmental degradation. We can’t truly achieve sustainability, not until everyone has safe,
healthy and happy communities that operate with future generations in mind.

Obesity is one of the most dangerous impacts of technology on health. When are using
technology, peoples hardly do any of the physical exercises. One of the reason why obesity is
associated with a technology is it because people especially young people spend most of their
time sitting at one place in front of their computer and reduced physical activities is done by
their body.
