commodities. For running commodities, business need a previous sales trend as a report to do the
forecasting.

Procurement Planning:

Demand –

Procurement/Sourcing

Mode of Sourcing:

1. Provide requirements to the production team. The production team further decides how much
they can deliver against the requirement. They also decide whether to produce in-house or
contract farming.

2. Procurement from the supplier (local farmer as a supplier). There are 5 models to procure the
commodities from suppliers:

Model 1: Regular procurement

a. Farmer who can meet the requirement as per the product description required and is
interested to supply provides their production estimates. After that Farmer KYC (document
required) is done and the Farmer onboarding process takes place.
b. Once Farmer is registered with KYC and all the required documents, the same is created in
the current system and the Farmer code is issued to the Farmer for further transactions and
communications.
c. 1 day in advance when the goods are required, the procurement team releases the prices to
farmers for each variety and issues crates to the Farmers. The prices are decided based on
Market price analysis.
d. On receipt of the material in the crates from farmers the crates labeling is done by the
packhouse team including the information such as Farmer code, Quantity, date of receipt, lot
no. The packhouse then performs the QC (manual) and rejects the inferior quality of fruits
and vegetables before finally weighing the lot.
e. The lot received from the farmer then go through a machine (Intello) for sorting and grading
(variety wise) as one process. After the machining process is completed, the same is
inspected by plant supervisor based on the different grades quantity provided by the
machine.

crate-wise and later on, divided the value equally on each variety after the grading process.
