S1: I/ you/we/they
S2: He/she/it
e.g: I am a student (tôi là một học sinh)
e.g: he runs very fast (anh ta chạy rất nhanh)

Trong tiếng Anh mình sẽ có hai loại động từ: TO BE (A) và Động từ thường (B)
A. To be (am/is/are) [thì hiện tại đơn]
(+) [khẳng định]: I am a student/ He is a student/ They are students
(-) [phủ định]: I am NOT a student/ He is NOT a student/ they are NOT students.
(?) [nghi vấn]: Am I a student?/ Is he student?/ Are they students?

B. Động từ thường [thì hiện tại đơn]

Định nghĩa: khác to be (am/is/are)
e.g: go/ do/ listen/ speak/ write/ live/ eat/ drink …………….

S1: I/ you/we/they + V nguyên mẫu (do)

S2: He/she/it + V thêm đuôi s/es (does)

(+) I listen to music/ you play soccer.

(+) He listens to music/ she plays soccer.
(-) I do not = don’t listen to music.
(-) He does not = doesn’t listen to music.
(?) Do I listen to music?
(?) Does he listen to music?

1. Khi xuất hiện do/does -> động từ thường giữ nguyên

2. động từ thường và động từ to be là hai động từ hoàn toàn khác nhau (không bao giờ đứng cùng nhau)
e.g: I am listen to music (x) -> I am/ I listen/ I am listening
e.g: We are play soccer.
e.g: I am not listen (x) -> I am not/ I don’t listen

Ví dụ:
1. He ………… (run) with me. runs
2. they ………….. (be) teachers. are
3. My friends (they) ……………..(not work) in the company/ don’t work.
