n. Music
A sign placed on a staff
to indicate the meter, time signature
commonly a numerical top: 2:4 time indicates two beats
fraction of which the per measure
numerator is the number bottom: 3:4 time indicates three
of beats per measure beats per measure
and the denominator
represents the kind of note getting one beat.
