Dear Noble Families and Staff,

At approximately 4:30 Monday afternoon, the district was notified of a gas smell at the Noble campus. PG&E
and district staff investigated and discovered a leak in the water utility box buried underground. The area was
secured and the remainder of campus was deemed safe for students and staff.

Later this evening, the district was notified that the gas would need to be shut off to repair the leak.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, PG&E and district crews will work to repair the leak and gas to Noble
will be turned off. Officials are unable to confirm when the leak will be repaired and when the gas will be
turned back on.

This letter is to inform parents and staff that the Noble campus is safe and will remain open. However,
classrooms and facilities that rely on gas heating systems could be affected. Some classrooms utilize electric
heating systems and will not be affected. Parents are strongly encouraged to ensure students are dressed
appropriately for the weather. Breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided for students.

Noble will continue to take all precautions and measures to ensure a safe learning environment for all
students and staff. Please reach out to the district office if you have any questions. We will be diligent in our
efforts to address this issue quickly tomorrow.

Estimadas Familias y Personal de Noble,

Aproximadamente a las 4:30 de la tarde del lunes, se notificó al distrito sobre un olor de gas en el campus de
Noble. PG&E y el personal del distrito investigaron y descubrieron una fuga en la caja de servicios públicos de
agua enterrada bajo la tierra. Se aseguró el área y el resto del campus se consideró seguro para los
estudiantes y el personal.

Más tarde esta noche, se notificó al distrito que sería necesario cerrar el gas para reparar la fuga. Mañana,
martes, 24 de enero de 2023, PG&E y los equipos del distrito trabajarán para reparar la fuga y se cerrará el
suministro de gas a Noble. Los oficiales no pueden confirmar cuándo se finalizará la reparación de la fuga y
cuándo se volverá a abrir el suministro de gas.

Esta carta es para informar a los padres y al personal que el campus de Noble es seguro y permanecerá
abierto. Sin embargo, las aulas y las instalaciones que dependen de sistemas de calefacción de gas podrían
verse afectadas. Algunas aulas utilizan sistemas de calefacción eléctrica y no se verán afectadas. Se
recomienda encarecidamente a los padres que se aseguren de que los estudiantes estén vestidos
