We would like to extend our gratitude for referring ULAN’s request to the Bureau of Local
Government Supervision (BLGS) as per Memorandum dated February 16, 2023. However, we
received an electronic mail dated February 23, 2023 from DILG Manila Bay PMO declining our
request.

In this regard, may we again request the kind assistance of your Office in endorsing ULAN
research study on plastic to the Local Government Units (LGUs) all over the country in order to
gather the existing ordinances on plastic waste. For reference, attached is the tentative abstract
of the said study.
