Dear Staff, Students and Parents/Guardians of Valley Park Middle School,

This letter is to inform you of a change approved by the Board of Trustees on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 which
impacts your school.

Vice Principal Maggie Bowers has been promoted to the position of Principal of Terry Fox Public School effective
September 1, 2022. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Bowers for her leadership and dedication
to Valley Park MS.

With the promotion of Maggie Bowers brings the transfer of Ms. Hetti-Marie Manu to the position of Vice
Principal of Valley Park MS, effective September 1, 2022. She brings with her a strong Equity lens and a
background in music and French. Most recently Ms. Manu worked at Broadlands PS holding a Vice principal
position. She has provided ongoing support for mental health initiatives.

Ms. Hetti-Marie Manu will support Principal Bartzis and work alongside Vice Principal Heather Walker in service
of the students, staff and families of the school community. Ms. Manu is very approachable and will maintain
excellent communication with parents, staff and students.
