SIGNIFICANCE OF TWO NATION THEORY

The Two-Nation Theory served as the basis of demand for Pakistan by the Muslims in British
India. This theory revolutionized the mind of Muslims of subcontinent and compelled them to
get a new separate state, Pakistan.

 INDEPENDENT NATION
Pakistan stands today because of the efforts made by the Muslims leaders. Pakistan today
is a nation with the people having a sense of oneness among them. Its more than a
nationality. The people of this country cannot be forced to do a task against their religion,
culture, or morals. In an independent society we make people come together. In an
independent society, people use their independent minds and then decide what is better
for the country and what is not. This independent state is a result produced by the Two
nation theory.

 SEPARATE IDENTITY
The Muslims all over the world have a separate identity. The two-nation theory devised
that subcontinent India is not a country but an entire continent with people belonging to
different religions, culture, traditions and having different histories and heroes. These
conflicting ideas made them a separate nation from any other nation. The world in the
past thought of the India as a country and one nation, but this theory presented that
Muslims and Hindus are not united. The history of the last twelve hundred years has
failed to achieve the unity. The Muslims wanted to preserve and protect their distinct
identity. The today’s Pakistan is a place known to the world as a separate Muslim
identity.

 ISLAMIC IDEOLOGY
Two nation theory and the creation of Pakistan was based on Islamic ideology. The
theory was the inhiation of originating of the significance of the Islamic ideology in front
of the world and Pakistan is the result od this uprising. The Islamic ideology believed on
the oneness of Allah Almighty. All the powers belong to him, and the people only use the
power as a responsibility.

 SENSE OF UNITY
This theory is responsible of making the Muslims world united. This theory plays a
substantial role in bonding the nation together. When people have beliefs, they can work
together to achieve the impossible. Our country has people whose faith, beliefs, customs,
and regulations are same, and this solidarity gives the sense of unity to the people of
Pakistan.
 CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE
Two Nation Theory protected the Muslim’s cultural heritage. Hindus and Muslims have
different cultures. they belong to two different religious philosophies, social customs,
literatures, and civilization. They have innated spiritual, economic, social, and political
differences. The Muslims culture now is safe in the country as the Islamic law is
improvised.

 MODERN EDUCATION
When Sir Syed presented the two-nation theory, he argued that modern education might
be the key to Muslim advancement. Not that much but still modern and advance
education is being taught in Pakistan.
