Q1- WHAT DOES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT MEAN?

ANS UMAIR: Women empowerment is the concept of

equality for women and the upliftment of women for the
betterment of society. Women should be free to follow their
mind and do everything men are able to do, like society, ‘a
bird cannot fly with one wing’.
Q2- compare the interviews of the mother and the grand
mother, what are the similarities and differences.
ANS UMAIR: There are many similarities and differences of
both, the most common similarity being that women should
get equal rights and rights to education, which I agree with.
Women, especially single mothers have to juggle time with
work and family which can be extremely difficult. Many
differences can be seen as well, such as women in the olden
ages had no rights to education and there were social evil
custom such as sati and many more.
Q3- compare the interviews of the grand mother and mother
with the social activist.
ANS UMAIR: there are many similarities and differences in
the thinking between them. Again, the most common
similarity is that women should get equal rights, rights to
education, rights to vote, etc. Mrs Merlyn Dsa, the social
activist proclaimed that women should get equal voting
rights and elective rights, very often when women come into
power, its their husbands taking control and taking the
power from women.
Q4- what is your opinion on equal rights for men and women
ANS UMAIR: In my opinion, women and men should get
equal rights. The government has already put out multiple
schemes for the empowerment of women and for the
betterment of society, very often there is discrimination
against women, even in modern days it still exists. Fixing this
problem isn’t and easy task, but we can take some small
steps to counter it like, teaching people the rights of women,
working on the already existing schemes to make them more
effective, etc.
