Introduction
According to the requirement of the client, He want to construct a (15+G) stories
Building in his plot. By following all of the rules & regulation, we have designed
the Super-Structure of the building. In this report we have recommended the Sub-
Structure of the building. Here is some information About this building:
Building category: Only Residential
Building Elevation: 15+G. (each story 10’)
Area: 6480 sft. (9 Katha)
Column Size: 30”x30”
No Basement
Objective
At in this report we have showed which foundation is suitable for this structure.
We have also showed why that foundation is good & all of the calculations. In
here we have showed that structure 3d view, plan view & point load of column.
Methodology
By considering all the fact, we decided that we will use the Cast-In Pile
foundation for this. Although Raft/Mat is possible but for many reasons we
escape it. Some of them are:

 If we want to do a raft the depth of the foundation will be more than

50 Feet.
 As per client requirement, there will be no basement platform. So,
we have chosen Pile rather than raft.
 Another problem is The thickness of the raft. According the
calculation, we need almost 8 feet thickness of the raft but in the soil
test report & by the buoyancy check we have found that the uplift
pressure will be too much for the raft.
 After all of the odds, if we want to construct a raft the cost will be too
high. As we have to excavate a huge portion of soil to construct the
raft.
 AT a 50 feet depth from ground level we also have to use Sheet pile
for this to protect side soil sliding.

For this we have Used Cast-In Situ Piles.
