Rationale:

Section 16 General Welfare of the Local Code of 1991 mandates that Local Government Units
shall have within their territorial jurisdictions, promote health and safety, improve public morale
maintain peace and order, and preserve the conduct comfort and convenience of their inhabitants.
The Proliferation and uses of illegal drugs hamper over all efforts aimed at promoting
productive family life, community peace and harmony and ultimately, nation building and National
Development.
Relatively to the above, and ensure effective public private sector partnership in addressing
the drug menace, there is a need to conduct a dialogue and forum to come with guides to action to
help address the proliferation and use of illegal drugs that will further strengthen existing efforts on
illegal drug prevention and control. Hence this activity.

Objective/s:

1. To refresh BADAC members of their duties and functions;

2. To orient BADAC member on Barangay Drug Clearing Operations;
3. To sustain advocacy and information campaign against illegal drugs.
4. To reiterate to all BADAC of their active involvement in the government’s continuous
campaign against illegal drugs.

3. Salient Provisions of R.A. 9165

Recommendation/Lessons Learned:

1. Lecture in self-defense, arrest and basic function as Auxiliary Team of the PNP (Arnis & Karate)
2. Basic life support (CPR, stretcher bearing & Making using improvised materials)
