Conclusion to Feasibility

The feasibility study proposes the creation of PIAYUM. It is revealed to be the first ever Kalabasa-
flavored Piaya in the Philippine market, particularly the only Piaya that contains Pectin, Cinnamon, and
Coconut Milk powder along with Pumpkin as its main ingredients. Although it has direct competitors, it
was shown that PIAYUM has 96.7% market acceptability which makes it easier for the business to
penetrate the current market. Moreover, its execution can be beneficial for both the economy and
society for Piayum is a way of promoting and advocating for our local pastry chef residing in Bacolod.
Based on these factors the proponents of this study came up with a conclusion that PIAYUM : Kalabasa –
Flavored Piaya is feasible and viable in the market.

The study has verified the technical, marketing, technical, socio-economic, and financial feasibility of the
proposed project. However, the Study also has revealed that the business is financial difficult in
implementing. At the beginning of the Project, the investment costs for the production, acquisition of
machineries and equipment, and re-construction of the stall location would be financially serious burden
to the present PIAYUM. Given the matter, the business devised a workaround by using the owner's draw
as a method of payment to its employees/owners. This is also motivated by the fact that this is a start -
up company. Efforts would be made to the greatest extent possible to provide self-financing sources if
required. Furthermore, because uncontrollable economic factors can affect the company's financing, the
researchers have devised strategies to address them.
