Teacher's Directions
This resource is a daily review of math skills previously learned while gradually
introducing new concepts. It spirals to cover many different math concepts for 4th grade
such as fractions, geometry, factors & multiples, and story problems. It is most
successful when used daily. Days 1 -4 have 8 problems and day 5 has 6 problems.
Each set contains 4 weeks of Daily Math to make planning easier for you.
To use:
1) Make one copy per student of each page and cut each page in half. Please note that
the Friday page in each set is a full page assignment as it deals with more complex
concepts, etc. To save on copies, you can make Friday a partner activity. The week and
day is printed in the bottom right corner on each assignment. This makes it easy for
you to ensure students have the correct problems to complete.

2) Give your students approximately 10 to 15 minutes to answer the problems (this time
will vary from class to class and even day to day. As the professional, you will know how
much time to allow for these each day.) If you find your students are taking longer than
the time you have to allot, then you might consider taking two days per 1/2 sheet, or,
have the students work in partners each day.

3) At the end of the provided time, you can either have the students submit them to you
for correcting, or, you can go over the assignment with the students. This second
option is the better choice, as it will allow for a discussion to take place and provide a
way for you to correct any errors in thinking that may occur. However, the entire
process should not take more than 15-20 minutes in total.

Alternative Use: The pages can be copied back to back with all 4 weeks included
and used as a monthly booklet. This makes keeping track of the work a lot easier, and
saves you from a mountain of loose papers.

Let's get started with helping your students be more successful and gain more
confidence in their math skills. As your students work on daily math, they practice skills
that will become a habit to them. Math will make more sense and they will not be so
hesitant to try new concepts.
