The common saying, “Experience is the best teacher” stresses that our own experiences
can teach us a lot of valuable things. Although some people believe that listening to our elders and
companions is the best way to learn about life, I believe that we learn the most from our own
experiences. In my own opinion, learning from our own experiences lasts longer and is more
effective. Most importantly, learning from our own experiences assists us in becoming more
mature and prepared to face life's challenges. So, we need to learn from our experiences and use
this to be or to do better next time.

As a member of the community, it is my responsibility to fulfill my duties and get engaged

in many social issues. As a student, I can do so much for my community with the help of work
immersion. In connection with this, the quote mentioned above certainly connects to the purpose
of work immersion. As I know, community immersion helps us to put what we've learned in class
into practice in real-world circumstances. Through this, we, students, can develop new skill sets
and improve existing capabilities that can allow us to discover ourselves and jumpstart our
professional development. We can have a greater knowledge and appreciation of many community
concerns by being exposed to real-life scenarios, particularly in the poor, distressed, and
unprivileged areas.

The experiences we immersed in these situations can allow us to reflect on our

assumptions, knowledge, and attitudes about life. We can easily adopt diversity and changes in
life, especially in the future. In conclusion, we can get valuable life experiences, meet new people,
and learn new skills. I believe that there is no better way to learn about another culture than to go
and share your experiences with them.
