To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great honor and pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for my former student and
neighbor, Ivan Boyer.

I was Ivan’s teacher from January of 2022 until his graduation in January of 2023, and I have enjoyed
working with him so much. He is among the kindest and most creative students I have ever worked
with.

I am proud to say that Ivan wrote a lot in my class, and all of it with unmatched creative flair. He is
imaginative, intrinsically motivated and an avid sharer of his work. The times when my class felt more
like a community of writers, eager to share their work with each other and be inspired by each other,
Ivan was at the heart of it.

While Ivan is extremely capable of excelling in school when he chooses to apply himself, his real
strength is being a genuinely kind person, full of personal integrity and absolute commitment to joy.
He is a student I trust fully and I enjoy having him in class. He will be missed dearly.

I wish Ivan the best, and hope after taking some time to enjoy the world, he takes my advice and
becomes a teacher. He would rock.
