    This proposed research study examines exposure to social media among grade 11 students at Mag-aba National High School. Specifically, the study aims to analyze: (1) the most commonly used social media platform, (2) the average time spent on the platform, and (3) ways to minimize social media exposure. The literature review synthesizes sources on social media misuse among students, such as delivering hate speech and expressing conflicts. However, there is a gap in understanding the social media habits of grade 11 students at this particular school. This research intends to address that gap to help benefit the target participants.

    Chapter II

    REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

    The Social Media platform accounts of Students learning at Mag-aba National High

    School are often misused. There are those students who use social media to deliver hate speech

    and most of them sets social media as a platform of expressing conflicts especially in private or

    direct messages or even in group chats. In this study, the main topics will be analyzed such as a)

    the social media platform that is often used by senior high school students specifically Grade 11,

    b) the time span of the student’s exposure in that particular social media platform, and c) some

    ways in minimizing social media platform exposure.

    Topics to be Discussed
    Synthesize the different sources of information that will support your topic/s. Use a well

    —organized paragraph using the tips in writing an academic text (i.e., paraphrasing). Also,

    observe the ethics in research by properly citing your sources using the 7 th Edition APA in-text
