June 2022. “Level of Social Media Utilization in The Work

Performance of Philippine National Police (PNP) in the

Second District of Capiz.”

The main purpose of this research was to study the

level of social media utilization in the work performance of

the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the Second District

of Capiz. Specifically, this study is intended to answer the

following questions: 1) What is the Level of Social Media

Utilization in the Work Performance of the PNP in the Second

District of Capiz? 2) Are there significant differences in

the Level of Social Media Utilization in the Work

Performance of the PNP in the Second District of Capiz when

respondents are grouped according to their Socio-Demographic

Profile such as age, sex, and educational attainment? 3) Are

there significant differences in the Level of Social Media

Utilization in the Work Performance of the PNP in the Second

District of Capiz when respondents are grouped according to

their Work Profile such as rank, length of service, and area

of assignment?
This study was conducted in the police precincts of the

Second District of Capiz namely: Tapaz, Dumalag, Dumarao,

Cuartero, Dao, Ivisan, Sigma, Mambusao, Sapian, and

Jamindan.

Primary data were collected through administration of a

set of researchers-made survey questionnaire that is

composed of two parts. Part I focused on the respondents'

socio-demographic profile and work profile; Part II on the

level of social media utilization in the work performance of

the Philippine National Police officers in the Second

District of Capiz.

This study exploits the descriptive research design.

The data gathered were analyzed with the use of the

following statistical tools; frequency counts, percentage,

mean, and t-test for independent variables and analysis of

variance (ANOVA) for independent variables. The alpha level

was set to 0.05.

Results revealed that in terms of documentation is

shows that all documentation programs of the Philippine

National Police in the Second District of Capiz in the

Utilization of Social Media were appropriately applied with

the computed grand mean range from 4.20-5.0 which all

described as “highly utilized”.


Results revealed that in terms of information is shows

that all information programs of the Philippine National

Police in the Second District of Capiz in the Utilization of

Social Media were appropriately applied with the computed

grand mean range from 4.20-5.0 which all described as

“highly utilized”.

However, the posting guidelines involve off-duty

personnel using social media information in connection with

official duties was moderately utilize.

Results revealed that in terms of communication is

shows that all communication programs of the Philippine

National Police in the Second District of Capiz in the

Utilization of Social Media were appropriately applied with

the computed grand mean range from 4.20-5.0 which all

described as “highly utilized”.

Considering all programs of the Philippine National

Police in Second District of Capiz in utilization of social

media on their work performance was appropriately applied by

the organization with the computed over all mean of 4.43

which verbally interpreted as “Highly Utilize”.

There was no significant in the level of social media

utilization in the work performance of the PNP in the Second

District of Capiz when respondents are grouped according to


as age, sex, educational attainment, rank, length of

service, and area of assignment.
