Summary of Position

As the IT Manager you will be responsible for delivering IT outcomes in line with the business expectations
and strategy while playing a key strategic role across the overall organisation as part of the senior
management team.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the IT Manager will be responsible for managing the
provision of a high-quality corporate information technology service focused on meeting and adapting
to the changing needs of the business on an operational and strategic level.

The IT Manager is responsible for leading, supporting and guiding a small team across infrastructure,
network, technical support and applications development.

As IT Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues regionally and globally to drive the evolution of the
local IT platform. You will act as a change agent to champion the introduction of new IT tools to support
the changing needs of the business.

You will be tasked with ensuring that all company IT systems enable the efficient, timely and accurate
processing and accessing of information. You will be responsible for ensuring that external vendors
meet their service delivery obligations to the business.

Comfortable getting “hands-on”, you will thrive in a dynamic and at times high pressure environment
requiring you to manage multiple projects concurrently.

What will success look like?

 Developing the overall IT strategy in consultation with the MD and our global IT team to meet
the future needs of the business ensuring we deliver stable, reliable, cost effective and future
proof systems for effective business operation.
 Ensuring resources are deployed appropriately to reflect changing business requirements.
 Ongoing assessment and improvement of cybersecurity risk management measures.
 Undertake business continuity planning to ensure appropriate and robust disaster recovery
plans are ready to deploy.
 Providing leadership and guidance to the entire IT team (including but not limited to providing
measurable key performance indicators, training and development and performance
management etc)
 Working closely with business users & stakeholders to ensure projects are progressed in line
with business needs and all barriers are uncovered and removed.
 Licensing, contract negotiation and relationship management with all vendors of current
software applications, telecommunications services and hardware appliances.
 Innovate and develop digital programs and technology related projects
 Ownership, responsibility and management of ICT Governance
 Ownership of the technology budget and management of ICT purchasing of services and assets.

3 Project Delivery
 Manages and takes ownership of team budget and ensures budget end year compliance
 Creates and promotes cost awareness within the team and the company
 Identifies and considers emerging development opportunities and risks when articulating new
options and recommendations
 Maintains a broad, strategic perspective while identifying and focusing on crucial details.
 Ensures accurate and on time management reporting to support business decision making
 Provides sound advice and conclusions based upon a mixture of data analysis and experience

o Contributes to management strategic plans and developments and attends all strategic
meetings

 Ensure successful implementation & completion of all IT projects

o Reporting information from the system is maintained to be accurate

Position Requirements

Qualifications
 Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT or a related occupation
Skills and Experience
 Minimum of 10 years’ commercial experience in the IT Industry.
 Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading and managing teams.
 Experience with an agile methodology
 Strong Project Management, IT Governance, Continuous Improvement Skills
 Able to demonstrate strong planning & time management skills
 Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing business plans/strategies
 Capability to act as a change agent / change management skills.
 A positive and professional manner, strong verbal and written communication skills
 Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve business objectives
 Ability to work across all organisational levels and provide strategic and operational support
 IS Technical qualifications. Certification in Information Technology Systems
