 Recognize that soil, water, rocks, coal, and other
fossil fuels are Earth materials that people use as
resources.
 Describe ways of using Earth’s resources
sustainably.

ANTICIPATORY SET  To start the lesson, the teacher presents pictures related to
the topic, where the students need to guess the word.
 The teacher will provide empty letter boxes to the students,
and they need complete them to learn what lesson they will
be having.

OBJECTIVES  At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to;
1. Identify the natural resources found in the
Philippines.
2. Explain the effects of some human activities on
natural resources using the situation given.

INPUT  The teacher will introduce the natural resources in the
Philippines.
 The teacher will talk about factors that affect natural
resources.
MODELING  The teacher will discuss different kinds of natural
resources in the Philippines.
 The teacher will also discuss human activities that cause
depletion and harm in natural resources and how to
prevent them.
CHECKING FOR  The teacher will show 2 pictures at the same time, the first
UNDERSTANDING picture is a natural resource in the Philippines and the
second picture is a human activity that destroys the
resource.
 The teacher will ask a random student to identify the
natural resource and ask them what they can do to protect

and preserve the natural resource.
