I came from humble roots, a lineage from the

south
The toils of my parents bring nostalgic memories
Tough love from them I have learned about
And support that feeds my soul like licorice

The diversity in my interests feeds my soul

It inspires me and not stops me from fighting
Studies are vital to the attainment of my goal
And keeps me focused despite drives fluctuating

In many ways I must excel in my chosen career

And this entails being a relevant chef entirely
To serve as a mentor or lead a business team to
cheer
Then become more significant to the society

If failure I encounter in the course of my journey

I know I will come out a better person and survive
Then if and only if I achieve my life’s victory
My gratitude to those who molded me I will keep
alive
