FAREWELL SPEECH: Binibining Kalikasan 2019

Winning a pageant is not all about the cheers of people. Winning is not all about the waving of hands, not the
awarding of sashes, and absolutely not wearing of crown. It is more than that.

Two years ago, as I bravely step up to the tiny ladder leading to the big stage of Binibining Kalikasan 2019, I
still remember the blinding lights, the deafening cheers of the audience, the unnerving eyes of the judges and
the fear of being criticized by the crowd. I am still astounded of how I was able to walk with grace on that huge
stage. Back then, I have never envisioned myself winning the crown, however, through the courage and
determination I was able to pave the way to become Binibining Kalikasan 2019. I know that I could have not
done this without the people behind my success. So, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and
appreciation to those who believed in me through all these years.

First and foremost, I truly thank our God for all the blessing He has showered upon me. It is truly a blessing and
a priceless experience that I will always treasure as I continue my journey in this lifetime.

To my mama and papa, for their unconditional love and limitless support whenever I take part in any
competition, and for always reminding me to trust God in every situation that I will encounter. I can never thank
you for enough for all the guidance and teachings you’ve taught me of making me who I am today.

To my siblings, relatives and Caloy who fuelled me with positive energy whenever I needed it most and for the
constant support and encouragement that eased my journey. I hope I made you proud.

To my bestfriends and friends. Grabe you guys are the best. You saw me during my fragile moments and you
never left me instead you all lifted me up and showered me with your love.

To my fellow candidates with whom I formed unique bonds and friendship, our relationships that we got to build
was the most valuable thing I gained in this pageant.

And to my successor, cherish and enjoy every moment and all future opportunities that will be handed to you.
This is your moment to leave your mark in the world. Strive to reach as far and wide and limitless as possible.
Always remember to keep your feet on the ground, and win or lose, always give thanks to the Lord. Remember
that being a beauty queen is not about having the crown on your head, but wearing it over your heart.

To all aspiring queens, embrace yourself and showcase who you are, your true self, your authenticity because
people will fall in love with you. And when you are just being yourself, you don't really lose anything, you will
just gain a lot of love from other people as well.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am Eliza Jane Omana, Your BINIBINING MANANAP 2019, now signing off.
