Sentence Outline

I. During this course, I have learned so many strategies and writing steps to improve my
writing skills.
A. I learned how to properly organize my essays
1. There are several ways on how to organize students’ essays
a) The way I organize my essays is by logical order because it allows the writer to
develop, show, and justify ideas by increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of
paragraphs in papers.
2. To strengthen my writing skills, I also learned how to properly use punctuation.
a) When I write my papers, I forget to follow the grammatical rules. After I
followed the rules and took time, to look over my papers for any grammar errors.
B. I have used the steps of the writing process in all of my papers, and it has improved
my writing skills and papers.
1. The steps of the writing process are prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and
outlining.
a) I have used the steps of the writing process because the method developed and
expanded my thoughts and idea. Essays have always been hard for me but when I learned
the steps of the writing process, it helped me break each paragraph which made it easier
for me to gather my ideas and expand my papers.
