 I hope everyone present here is in good health, and I also presume everyone else like me is excited
about today’s event. Today we take a break from our daily academic school schedule and have gathered
on this ground in an integrated manner to participate in games and have fun.
 Sports is an important aspect of every being’s life that helps in improving our health as well as teaching
us some good qualities like discipline, hard work, patience, respect, team-work, etc.
 And a school should also make sure that their students attain these mentioned skills by participating in
extra-curricular activities throughout the year. And as elders, we should not dwell in the winning and
losing aspect of sports, instead should initiate students to participate more in gaining experience and
attaining a better sense of sportsman spirit.
Anchor-2

 “Sports improve our competence,

Brings into life top level Brilliance.
Sports bring out our mettle,
Give strength to face Life’s battle.
Sports are the key to self-reliance,
Way to accept mistakes without defiance.
Sports illuminate Team spirit,
Inculcate in students this noble habit.
Sports makes a boy a man,
Builds their strength ten on ten.”

1 Opening Ceremony (Flag hosting):-

 Anchor 1: Let’s start our Annual Sports Day with Flag Hosting. I request our Sports Captain and vice-
captain to escort. I would like to invite our honourable director sir, along with all distinguished guests
andPrincipal mamto hoist the pride of our School, our School Flag. Please join us in hoisting our School
Flag and show our respect towards the same.
(After Hosting)

Anchor 2: Thank you so much everyone. May our flag keep soaring high and our nation keep on
prospering to great heights.
 Now, I would request our distinguished chief guest, director sir to grace the stage with his benign
presence to receive guard of honour.

2 March Past:-(Anchor 4)
 March Past is all about synchronization and team work. Marching in a contingent demands alertness
and an unspoken co-ordination.

 The drumbeat rolls, the band strikes up and a high pitched voice issues a command. The synchronized
swing of arms and the thudding feet stir something within us.

We are extremely glad to introduce the four distinctive houses namely Equality, Freedom,
Peace and Unity.
We can see all the four houses lined up with their captains and house captains. Daksh the head
boy of the school is leading the entire parade behind him followed by the head girl Ishani.
Coming up next are the vice head boy Nikhil and vice head girl Yogita . Following them are the
Girls sports captain Himanshi and Boys Sports Captain Vaibhav. All these are followed by
Equality house marching with proper coordination and synergy under the guidance of their
house captain Gourav and vice house captain Bharti.
The Equality House is a symbol of compassion, peace, and positive change. The house flagcolors
serve as the resource center for all Planting Peace human rights initiatives and stands as a visual
reminder of our commitment, as global citizens, to equality for all. It represents the state of
being equal, especially in status, rights, or opportunities.

Equality house is closely followed by Freedom house lead by the house captain Muskan and
vice house captain Harsh.
Freedom house represents the state of being free to express ourselves in terms of opinion, view
and expressions.

Coming up next is Peace house and as the name suggests itself the house gives the message of
peace and harmony which is needed for the survival of the human beings on this earth. Peace
means solving the differences through peaceful and human ways. The house is led by the house
captain Harsh and vice Captain Meghna.

Peace house is then closely followed by Unity house. This house is created with the vision of
reflecting upon the importance of being united. They are marching under the abled guidance of
their house captain Riya and vice captain Anjali
Unity is of utmost importance for society as well as the whole country. “Strength is always with
Unity” is a popular phrase and it is true to its every word. Unity represents togetherness.
Therefore, it stands together through thick and thin.

True, there is no denying that a well-coordinated march past is a feast to the eyes and ears,
when coupled with some stirring marching music.  “Marching burns all the excess fat in your
body. It tones the body, strengthens and tightens calf muscles, upper arms and thighs,” and
undoubtedly “sense of discipline, co-ordination and alertness comes naturally with it.” It may
sound clichéd, but regular march past drill leaves you ‘fit as a fiddle’ without an ounce of
excess fat. Perfect posture and poise are complimentary and come with health benefits of
their own.

Now we all can see that all the houses are standing proudly showing their dedication and
responsibility towards school with their house flag with themselves and of course with a
rhythmic sound accompanied with them in the whole parade.

Thank you sir.

May I request you to be seated please?
