lo que queramos expresar en cada momento.
Conjugación:

CONJUGACI INGLÉ ESPAÑOL

ÓN S
1ª per. I am yo soy/estoy
singular
2ª per. you are tú eres/estás
singular
3ª per. he is él es/está
singular she is ella es/está
It is (para objetos)
1ª per. plural we are nosotros/as somos/estamos
2ª per. plural you are vosotros/as sois/estais
3ª per. plural they are ellos/as son/están

Como refleja la tabla, el verbo to be tiene tres formas: AM, IS Y ARE.

Exampes: It is high-tech. = Es de alta tecnología.

We are friends. = Nosotros somos amigos.
I am in Yapacani. = Yo estoy en yapacani.

Contracción del verbo to be

Normal Contracciones
I am I´m
you are you´re
he is , she is, It is he´s, she´s, It´s
we are we´re
you are you´re
they are they´re

Veamos algunas frases utilizando contracciones:

It´s a good day. -> Es un bonito dia.

They´re famous. -> Ellas son famosas.
I´m Carlos. -> Yo soy Carlos.
She´s impatient. -> Ella está impaciente.
We´re friends -> somos amigos

THE TIME

What time is it? o también What's the time? (menos usual) = ¿Qué
hora es?
Aunque también existen otras posibilidades:
- Have you got the time?
- Could you tell me the time please?
- Would you mind telling me the time?
- Have you got the time on you?
- You wouldn't know the time, would you?
- Do you know the time?

Ej. Banks are open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Es más normal decir: 'In the morning', 'In the afternoon', 'In the evening', 'At night'

7:00 a.m. = seven o'clock in the morning.

2:15 p.m. = quarter past two in the afternoon.
7:30 p.m. = half past seven in the evening
11:00 p.m. = eleven o'clock at night

o'clock es una contracción antigua que significa 'of the clock' (del reloj). El empleo actual equivale al
español 'en punto' (seven o'clock = siete en punto).

o'clock = 'en punto'             a quarter past... = 'y cuarto'

half past... = 'y media'       a quarter to... = 'menos cuarto'

12:00 = midday or noon

24:00 = midnight

By Teacher : Ovidio Chapi Villan Phone: 72102492

17

It's ten to four / son las cuatro menos diez

Exercices: What time do you do this activities?

AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME

(Backstreet boys)

Although loneliness has always been a friend of mine

I'm leavin' my life in your hands
People say I'm crazy and that I am blind
Risking it all in a glance
And how you got me blind is still a mystery
I can't get you out of my head

Don't care what is written in your history
As long as you're here with me

I don't care who you are

Where you're from
What you did
As long as you love me
Who you are
Where you're from
Don't care what you did
As long as you love me

Every little thing that you have said and done

Feels like it's deep within me
Doesn't really matter if you're on the run
It seems like we're meant to be

I don't care who you are (who you are)

Where you're from (where you're from)
What you did
As long as you love me (I don't know)
Who you are (who you are)
Where you're from (where you're from)

As long as you love me (yeah)

I've tried to hide it so that no one knows

But I guess it shows
When you look into my eyes
What you did and where you're comin from
I don't care, as long as you love me, baby

I don't care who you are (who you are)

HEAL THE WORLD By Michael Jackson

There's a place in your heart Then it feels that always

And I know that it is love Love's enough for us growing
And this place could be much So make a better world
Brighter than tomorrow Make a better world...
And if you really try
You'll Find There's No Need Chorus
To Cry
In This Place You'll Feel And the dream we were conceived in
There's No Hurt Or Sorrow Will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in
There are ways Will shine again in grace
To get there Then why do we keep strangling life
If you care enough Wound this earth
For the living Crucify it's soul
Make a little space Though it's plain to see
Make a better place... This world is heavenly
Be God's glow
Chorus:
Heal the world We could fly so high
Make it a better place Let our spirits never die
For you and for me In my heart
And the entire human race I feel you are all my brothers
There are people dying Create a world with no fear
If you care enough Together we cry happy tears
For the living See the nations turn their swords
Make a better place Into plowshares
For you and for me
We could really get there
If you want to know why If you cared enough for the living
There's a love that cannot lie Make a little space
Love is strong To make a better place...
It only cares of joyful giving
If we try Chorus
We shall see (Repeat)
In the bliss we cannot feel
Fear or dread There are people dying
We stop existing and start living If you care enough for the living
Make a better place
Then it feels that always For you and for me
Love's enough for us growing (Repeat)
So make a better world
Make a better world... You and for me
You and for me
(Repeat to end)
