II. At Sony Co - Business meeting

ULFA : Good morning Mr Wawan and Ms Zara, welcome to our company.


Did you get a good traveling?
ZARA : Good morning. Yes, we do, thank you.
ULFA : Let’s proceed to the meeting room.
ZARA : Yes, please.
IQBAL : Mr Wawan and Ms Zara. Sit down please. How are you today?
WAWAN : We are fine, thank you.
IQBAL : Ok, let start the meeting. Firstly, we are going to introduce our company profile.
SONY was born on May 7th 1946 in Tokyo with only 20 employees. The name of
"Sony“ is selected as Latin word, means a small grup of youngster that have
unlimited energy, creation, and inovation.
IMAMA : Our vision is giving the best to our customers, and our missions are:
1) produce the most modern technological products,
2) provide comfortable feeling to our customers
ULFA : talking about our financial condition, let’s see the graphic of our sales product.
The increasing in 2019 was US $725 million, and in 2020 was US$900 million.
Our company got the best selling for 5 years recently. It was US $3,000 million,
the average revenue was US $50 million in a month since 2016.
IQBAL : The marketing strategies used are:
1. Choose market segmentation on countries which have high revenue, such as
United States of America, Japan, England, or Russia.
2. Build a factory in every country to get easier on distributing products.
3. Advertise the products strongly.
ULFA :The best product produced are a) Sony BRAVIA which has the best graphics,
b) smart television, c) notebook product, with the brand of Sony Vaio,
d) WALKMAN X series, e) PLAYSTATION 1,2,3 portable, f) Sony LIBRIE ebook,
g) CINEZA Projector, h) DSLR Camera, Sony Handycam and some models and
types of Sony Erricson mobile phones.
IMAMA : Here is the organizational structure of Sony Company. The first line is President
Director. In the second line is Production Manager, Financial Manager, Marketing
Manager, Human Research & Development Manager and then Human Resource
Manager. While in the third line is our staffs.
ZARA : Thank you. Will you inform us about the graphic selling?
What strategy do you used to reach the target of those wonderful products?
ULFA : We always do research to create innovation for producing new products
WAWAN : You do research in every period don’t you? does not it mean a budget?
How do you manage it?
IMAMA : It depends on the financial management.
WAWAN : Is there any consideration on producing communication tool and entertainment
technology?
ULFA : Well, those products are human need. People need communication everywhere
and every time including entertainment
ULFA : Well, we think we have done all of our presentation, and it’s your time.
ZARA : Thanks for the chance. Firstly, we will introduce ourselves. I’m Zara as a Human
Research and Development Manager and here is Wawan as the General Manager.
Our company was founded in Beijing, China in 1990 by Mr. Hui Yang Liu.
It is a Manufacture company.
WAWAN : Our Vision is we would be a world-wide company and trusted by the customers.
While our missions are:
1). providing the best quality product with a value price,
2) maintaining good working relationships with each customer;
3) improving the product based on technology development.
ZARA : The first line of our structure organization is placed by the Director then followed by
The Vice-Director. The second line is for the Production manager, financial
manager,
Marketing manager, and Human Resource Manager, Human Research and
Development Manager. The next line is our employees.
WAWAN : The Next topic is informing about our Product and Sales. The top product line we
have is a bill acceptor. The equipment has multi-country currency recognition.
The highest acceptance is 98 percent, and easily upgraded for new counterfeits.
The second product is a bulk note loader. This product has 18-note temporary
deposit and our third product are a coin acceptor that has high performance ratio,
high speed, and accuracy.
ZARA : Our financial condition during five years is good. It rises profits and increases every
year. The average percentage of profits is about 40%. Started from 2016 up to
2020.
But in 2017 the company only made a profit of 20% from the sales.
WAWAN : We use 5Ps for our marketing strategy; Products, Price, Placement, Promotion and
People. Our company adopt a wide spread of marketing promotion Channels and
Surveys.
ZARA : We think we have to end our presentation.
