INTRODUCTION

The following task looks at the similarities and differences between different experts which are
part of different musical genres. This enables one to be able to show similarities and differences
between the videos and genres. Majority of genres are connected in different ways because they
have similar characteristics because the genres have evolved and changed with time. There are
distinguishing characteristics that make each genre different and these are quite noticeable.

Similarities

1. They both have simple melodies that are quite memorable


2. They have very simple lyrics that are easy to remember
3. They are both quite repetitive and have catchy, uplifting and upbeat choruses

Differences

1. Link 1 has less instrumentation with the voice being the dominant instrument in the
music while link 2 is made up of increased instrumentation together with a band.
2. Link 1 is more acoustic in nature while link 2 is a band type of setup in terms of the
music and accompaniment
3. Link 1 maintains the mood thoughout the music, keeping it mellow while link 2 has an
upbeat feel to it as the song progresses.

Similarities

1. Both of them have a similar theme in that they are glorifying and praising Jesus
2. They both have catchy melodies that are easily rememberable and can be sang easily
3. Both of them a band type of setup in terms of their performance and the music can be
performed with a band.
Differences

1. Link 2 keeps an upbeat lively tempo throughout the song while link 1 progresses from a
slow to a livelier tempo throughout the music.
2. In link 1, only one voice can be considered as the main aspect of it with very little
harmony, within other voices and such while link 2 is enriched with harmony in different
voices
3. Link 2 is full of imitation when it comes to the chorus while link 1 is more of a solo
performance when it comes to the chorus
