Hello fellow grade 8 students, my name is Nawaf and I am here to thank you for the most

spectacular school year. This year was probably the best school year for me and many of you
listening to me. There are three main reasons why this has been my most enjoyable school
year. After these 10 months I am sad to know that this school year is over. I will be telling you
my favorite events that has happened this year and I think a lot of you liked these events.
Many of us are from different nations, although there aren’t many days where we can show our
countries traditions and clothing’s. This is why we have international day, international day is a
day where you can celebrate your countries traditions and where your countries national
clothing to school. In this day you can try many cultural foods from different countries like
Biryani which is originally made in the UAE and Putin which is French fries topped with gravy
and cheese which was originally made in Canada. This event was one of the most joyful
according to CIS. Even though it was an amazing event, it doesn’t make it to the top 2.
Most of us always wanted to go to Expo in Dubai although some of us aren’t fortunate to go
there but what if I told you there was a school trip to Expo. In late March 2022 we had the
chance to go to Expo for a school field trip. Many of us thought it was going to cost a lot of
money but it turned out it was completely free. We got to see a lot of different pavilions but my
favorite ones were the Canadian pavilion and the UAE pavilion. The Expo trip was considered
the best field trip this school has hosted according to a survey that was made by CIS.
The time you have finally been waiting for has finally came. Many of you are thinking if there Is
a better event than the school field trip. I know it might sound crazy but the best event was
Water Day. This event had many different fun activities like spraying each other with water
guns and sliding down huge water slides. This event was the most amazing event in the school
according to CIS. Although many of you had different opinions on the event, it doesn’t change
my mind that this was the best event that has happened this year.
I am more than happy to say this school year was my favorite school year. Mainly because of
the events that took place in the school like Water Day, International Day and the Expo 2022
field trip. If I had one wish that wish would be making this school year longer as it was my
favorite year. I thank all of you amazing people for listening and making this school have a place
in my heart.
