Question 1: Do you agree with the policy? Why or why not?

The policy of this company is to ask employees not to use company work for personal
gain. This is an employee code of conduct policy that helps create a more productive and
safe working environment. They ensure consistency, fairness, and help your employees
know what is acceptable and what is not. They can identify what activities could be
dangerous to employees or the organization and provide guidance to avoid those
behaviors. Plus, they reflect your company's values, making it a better environment for all
employees. This policy reflects your organization's vision, core values, and overall
culture.

Not only that, this policy also helps the company prevent the risk of receiving bribes and
causing losses to the company. For example, a high-ranking employee uses his or her
position to coerce subordinates or accept bribes to do unethical work. In particular, senior
employees often have to meet partners to maintain a good relationship between the two
companies. These parties may have only one or two employees of the company so it is
impossible to know if it has integrity or not. Possible risks such as accepting bribes at the
party, signing contracts that benefit themselves but are detrimental to the company. As
such, this policy is in place to prevent unscrupulous behavior and to promote integrity
and transparency in the work of employees.

Philosophy says that "Material determines consciousness", so if the partner will give gifts
or something of great value to employees, maybe employees are overshadowed by those
material things, they will work. unconscionable and unclean in work. They will tend to
favor those who bring them benefits, so they will lose fairness, they let their emotions
dominate at work, and bad things will happen easily. For example, in the worst case,
these partners will bring low-quality goods to the company, but because of their
emotions, these employees do not check, but allow the shipment of poor quality goods to
cause damage to the company.

Therefore, I agree with this policy because it ensures fairness and transparency in work
and helps the company avoid bad damages. This policy also helps remind employees of
their ethical values at work.

Question 2: Would it be against corporate policy to accept such a gift? Give your
explanation.

It is company policy not to use company work for personal gain. Therefore, in my
opinion, accepting such a gift does not violate company policy. Because the name of the
recipient of this gift is my wife and this gift was received from the restaurant's program
and not from Mr. Hung himself, I did not use the company's work to benefit myself.

In particular, when I received the gift, I was also very surprised, I did not know in
advance that I would receive the gift through the restaurant's program. So I have no
intention of going to the party for my own gain.

I simply thought that I would go to a year-end party of the partner company to keep a
good relationship between the two companies. But when I arrived, it was an intimate
party, and I was picked up by Mr. Hung's car, so I couldn't leave right away but had to
attend. Receiving the gift was completely out of my control and I didn't feel happy when
I received it, but instead there was an ambiguity about the gift. However, I feel that
accepting the gift does not violate the policy and I cannot also return the gift because it is
not polite to return it. Since the gift was anyway, my wife participated in the program and
was fortunate to receive it, but we did not expect to receive any benefits from
participating.

Although this is a pre-arranged purpose of Mr. Hung, but Mr. Hung is also one of the
major partners of the company providing materials for the company, accounting for 30%,
so if he refuses to receive and return gifts, this may cause problems. may upset Hung and
will most likely cause him to withdraw from the contract to no longer provide supplies. If
so, the company will lose a large supply. And the immediate loss of a major supplier
partner will greatly affect the company's product production process, it will cause the
production line to stop due to lack of raw materials to produce, which will causing the
company great financial losses as well as spending a lot of time looking for new suppliers
of raw materials for production, finding a new big supplier is not easy to find
immediately. Therefore, I will not return this gift and in order to avoid the reputation of
taking advantage of the company's work for personal gain, I will give him another gift of
equal value to the value of the gift that my wife gave me. received, as a gift to thank Mr.
Hung for inviting my wife to participate in the champagne opening program at the
restaurant, so my wife received this gift.Question 3: Put yourself in the position of Mr.
Hung. Is his conduct is unethical? Why or why not?

If I put it in Mr. Hung's position, it would not be unethical to invite an intimate party. The
partner also often develops relationships with suppliers, often contacting and having
lunch with sales representatives of companies, and in return for that goodwill, he himself
must also express his thanks for the cooperation. accept his products up to 30% in the
company, a pretty high percentage, so I think the hero needs to perform well
diplomatically because in work diplomacy is very important.
The fact that Mr. Hung invites his partner's employees to an intimate party cannot be
considered unethical. Because Mr. Hung only invited his partner to a year-end party, but
unfortunately that party was postponed and instead was an intimate party. However,
because of the promise and when Mr. Hung invited, the partner happily agreed, so he was
afraid that if the announcement was postponed, the partner would be unhappy and would
affect the business. Not only that, if you cancel an appointment, you will lose your
credibility and if you invite people next time, they will not agree again for fear of being
canceled again. Therefore, he was unable to tell the truth and rescheduled the
appointment, so he arranged another party as planned. An intimate party can be
considered as a thank you for receiving our products and also an apology for delaying the
appointment. “We may offer our customers and business partners reasonable meals and
drinks in the course of normal business operations. Inviting the person we are doing
business with can be a good way to establish or improve a business relationship and
conduct a business meeting” from REGAL business ethics on the issue of inviting meals.
rice but do not exceed the allowable limit.

Regarding the gratitude gift, it is a gift from the restaurant to a partner, not from Mr.
Hung personally. This gift is a reward when those participating in the program win or
participate in the program to win prizes in the opening ceremony. Maybe his wife was the
lucky winner and received a gift from the restaurant. Besides, there will be not only 1
reward, but also many side parts for the participants. In each program, there will be a
giveaway for loyal customers and as a gratitude to customers who came to the party with
a valuable gift. Maybe the restaurant's revenue is high, so it can give valuable gifts like a
high-quality diamond-studded set of gold jewelry, assuming if the revenue is not high,
there will be parts. Allowed gifts, it is impossible for low revenue to buy gifts for high
customers. For example, CONCUNG is grateful to 11 years old to establish a shop with a
Mercedes C200 Avantgarde car worth more than 1 billion VND for parents who buy
goods over 1 million to win that car. We sell and promote our products and services
based on quality, efficiency, reliability and consistency. Hung's company's products have
potential in price and quality, so my company purchases 30% main materials. With such
strength and potential, Mr. Hung does not need to use tricks such as giving gifts to win
customers' hearts. He/ simply wanted to invite his partner to the party to show his
goodwill and gratitude to keep the relationship between the two companies good.

By relying on these characteristics to gain and maintain business, we do not need to resort
to unethical or illegal means to achieve our goals. The purpose of gifts, entertainment and
party invitations in our work is to create goodwill and strong working relationships. All
gifts, entertainment and meals must be casual, reasonable to the market but not lavish and
linked to an appropriate business purpose.

Question 4: Imagine that you are the president and CEO. It means that you are both
the largest owner and decision-maker for business activities. Would it be unethical
to accept this gift? Why or why not?

If I were the president and chief executive officer, someone who is both the largest owner
and the decision maker of the business's operations. I don't think accepting that gift is
unethical. Since I am the head and decide the activities of the business, I will put the
interests of the business first.

The gift was given in the name of a champagne-opening program of the restaurant my
wife participates in. It means the gift was given by the restaurant, not by Mr. Hung. And
the gift is for my wife and not me so it's not in my interest. Maybe it's my fault that I
didn't know that the program my wife participated in had a bonus so I could be sure
where the gift really came from.

All due to my speculation that this gift is something shady, not sure if it was sent by Mr.
Hung. Therefore, if you don't receive it and return it, it will cause misunderstanding and
Mr. Hung thinks that he thinks badly of him and he will feel angry.

As the president and CEO, I must always maintain a cooperative, diplomatic relationship
with the company's supplies to ensure the company can stay afloat. The gift has been sent
anyway, if not received and returned it will be an unsophisticated thing and can make the
other party angry and humiliated. Our company has received the supply from Mr. Hung,
which means that Mr. Hung's materials are very quality and reasonable in price, so our
company has purchased up to 30%. If Mr. Hung may cause difficulties for the company's
business, such as withdrawing the contract to not supply materials anymore and the
company will lose a fee and materials to maintain operations. As a partner supplying up
to 30%, it is possible that Mr. Hung understands the supply and how to maintain the
company's operations and can disclose it to a rival company.

Therefore, I only accept the gift to ensure the benefit of the company, not for my own
benefit because this gift is basically sent to me by surprise and I have no reason to refuse.
and in good conscience I will not do harm to the company and my acceptance of the gift
does not violate company policy.

I will still accept the gift and will buy a gift of equal value to give back to Mr. Hung's
family as a thank you for inviting me and my wife to the party and fortunately received a
gift from Mr. restaurant. This work is both subtle and does not cause friction between the
two parties.
