What I learned: Compare and contrast
What I still want to learn: the difference between the two

Activity 1
Text 1
Unity- There is agreement on text 1 because it primarily focuses on
Facebook. It highlights Facebook's two primary functions.
Organization-Because the ideas are neatly organized, starting with the
statement of goal that established Facebook, there is organization. The
purposes of Facebook, which are for personal and educational usage, are
then followed. Then it gave an example of how it is utilized for personal and
educational purposes.
Coherence/Cohesion- The exampled content is coherent because there are
no inconsistencies in the argument because the function of Facebook was
stated properly and supported with many examples. The text didn't take any
detours; it was plain and supported by evidence. It also had cohesion since it
employed pronouns to prevent repetition, such as using 'their' instead of
'people' and 'user' instead of 'his/her'. Transitional devices like 'for example'
and 'for instance' were also utilized.
Language use- This text is well-written in terms of language. It employed
easy-to-understand language. It's also in line with the perspectives of
pronouns like 'their' and 'it.' The use of the pronoun 'his/her' was not sexist.
Mechanics- It was composed in the English language. There are no
exclamation points in this sentence.
Text 2
Unity- The selected text included a variety of ideas, such as the usage of
Facebook at school and at home, but it did not comment on why; instead, it
went on to explain how Facebook may send an instant invitation. It lacks a
clear definition of which subject it should concentrate on.
Organization- The key point is not introduced at all. Because the writing
wanders from one issue to another, it's impossible to pinpoint its main idea.
Coherence/cohesion- The book has a lot of contradictions, it doesn't follow a
set framework, and the examples are all from personal experience.
Transitional terms like because and for example were also utilized.
Language use-The words are simple to comprehend. However, it is
inconsistent with the pronouns' points of view, as the person who said you
then went on to say we. The wording isn't sexist either.
Mechanics- it’s written in an English language. There are a lot of informal
exclamation marks.

Activity 2. I AM SOCIALLY AWARE
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, people all around the country
have taken efforts to stay safe. And it's vital to keep such protections in place
until the virus is under control and a vaccine is available to protect everyone.
Keep in mind that the infection is primarily spread from person to person,
particularly if you're within six feet of each other. Even if you don't have any
symptoms, you can still carry the virus and spread it. With these
considerations in mind, we must adhere to the protocols. Keeping a safe
distance between oneself and others, for example, is a good habit and one of
the most effective strategies to avoid COVID-19 exposure. People can spread
the virus even if they are not sick or conscious that they are sick, so keep a
safe distance from them at all times, even if they are not showing symptoms.
These protocols are in place to safeguard the health, safety, and well-
being of our community. Everyone's duty is to follow health protocols, which
generates a caring environment where everyone is working to keep our
community healthy. Because prevention is superior to cure, we must follow
important health practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We can stop
COVID-19 from spreading just like we can stop any other disease from
spreading. But, even in these terrible times, we must remain cool and
composed for our own and our loved ones' protection.
