AIM : AWARENESS RAISING IN SPEAKING ENGLISH

Programs:

1. Using English in academic and non-academic program.

Each program in UNKLAB will be conducted in English.
2. Speaking English Stickers.
Participants:
- All English Teachers (20 teachers)
- All English Major Students ( 200 Students)
- All General English Students (1000 students)
- International Program Students (100 students)
- Other Teachers, staffs, and students (100 teachers and students)

Rules: The person who is wearing the sticker means that he/she is willing to communicate in
English.

Equipment : Stickers

3. English Chapel Program

There will be a representative from English Department to attend and become the speaker in
the Chapel program of every faculty discussing about Tips and benefits of using English.

4. English Lunch Hour Program

Monday (20 Feb, 27 Mar) and Wednesday (22 Feb, 29 Mar) there will be English Tongue
Twister, Spelling Bee, and Story Telling Challenge in Fern Wallace Hall during lunch hour.

Participants : Representative from Students organizations, General English classes (open for
those who want to participate)

Equipments : Speaker, Microphone (wireless), banners, gifts for participants

5. Saturday Night Program

Together with BEM UNKLAB, the Saturday night program will be conducted in English. There
will be English podcast from students and teachers, English Story Telling, English songs, Tongue
twister, and Spelling Bee Challenge.

Participants : Choirs, students organization, representative from General English classes,

Teachers, and students

Equipments : Banner, gifts for participants

6. English Speaking Zone
English speaking zone will be around Ad. Building and Lobby GK 1. Those who are in passing
through the English-speaking zone buildings are supposed to use English when communicating.
Participants : All UNKLAB community

Equipments : English-speaking zone banners in Ad. Building and Lobby GK 1

7. Online English challenge (Instagram)

There will be English Tongue Twister, and English challenges that will be posted in Instagram
account.

Participants : everyone who wants to participate are very welcome to this online English
challenge. They only need to upload a video with hashtag #unklabenglishweek
and mention our Instagram account (can be for Unklab promotion program).

8. English Quotes Advertisement

Banners or flyers about tips of using English, vocabularies, bible verses in English online and
offline.
