RESOLUTION NO. 9B - S.2022

RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HON.

_________________________________________________________________ FOR THE
CONCRETING/UPGRADING OF ONE KILOMETER (1KM) FARM TO MARKET
ROAD LOCATED AT PUROK 7, SITIO BUTAO, BRGY. AQUINO, LICAB NUEVA
ECIJA.

WHEREAS, it has been seen that the proposed road concreting project of the ONE
KILOMETER (1 km) farm-to-market road located at Purok 7, Sitio Butao, Aquino, Licab,
Nueva Ecija is a priority project for implementation at present since the said road had already
been dilapidated, posing great danger and causing inconvenience to people using it;

WHEREAS, good roads provide a factor of mobility and accessibility to the general
public, moreover, planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the road transport system
helps to open up and create job opportunities that bring good and direct economic implications to
people;

WHEREAS, road transport systems are a fundamental part of every land use policy
because these are the primary provider of access to territory, and are necessary to counter the
natural tendency of concentration of housing, employment and other activities like tourism
activities;

WHEREAS, access to efficient and dependable road transport systems is of high
importance to the general public since these said road transport systems enable them to gain
access to different services being provided by the Government;

WHEREAS, road networks have direct influence on basic production parameters by

providing an efficient and dependable way to deliver goods, services and raw materials from
place to place effectively reducing its market costs, in turn fostering holistic economic
development, thereby reducing absolute poverty;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SBM. GERONIMO C. SANGGA, and duly

seconded, BE IT RESOLVED as it is HEREBY RESOLVED to REQUEST HON.
