Analysis
*How do you find the activity?
I find the activity rather familiar as a member of the school’s BAC, these things occur in many of
my work. These things are relevant in identifying school’s properties and in planning. How to prevent
unreasonable distribution of resources.
*What did you understand about head count, capital and recurrent cost?
Head count is the total number of learners enrolled which will be the basis for estimating the
number of classrooms, teachers, needed staff, chairs and tables, capital, and recurrent cost, among others.
Capital Costs pertains to payments for acquisition or maintenance of major investments, including
equipment, facilities, or infrastructure. While recurrent Costs means the payments other than for capital
assets, including the goods and services (wages, salaries, subsidies, interest payments).
*How are they different with each other?
Headcount refers to the learners, while the capital and recurrent cost refer to costs for the
headcount. Both capital and recurrent expenditure are dependent on the headcount. Capital costs and
recurrent costs differ in many terms. Capital costs pertain to payments for the acquisition or maintenance
of significant investments, including equipment, facilities, or infrastructure. In contrast, recurrent fees
pertain to expenses other than capital assets, including the goods and services like wages.

*Is this topic relevant?

Since this course tackles the policies, it is just fitting to discuss reasonable cost. In plotting
approaches, it is expected that at least one is keen on budgeting. It is observed that most policies fail
because of the miscalculations our policymakers make in the implementation phase. Good outcomes
might get compromised in doing so.

Application
Analyze the images below and identify what component of educational planning. Explain briefly your
answer.
Image 1 (School Building)
The school building serves as more than just a container for learning. It is, rather, an essential
component of the learning environment. The school facilities can generate a sense of safety, ownership,
security, and personal touch, depending on the quality and style of construction.
Image 2 (Educational Financing)
It is impossible to ignore the financial implications of schooling. The school is run by its money,
much like taxes are the country's lifeblood. The capacity to correctly allocate funds results in good
consequences. The school itself exemplifies efficient appropriations.
Image 3 (Expansion Models)
One component of educational planning that is ever-present in the Philippine education context is
expanding learning, making it accessible to every Filipino. The establishment of barangay high schools
throughout the country and an initiative under EFA Education for All have enabled youth in the
barangays to obtain a secondary education.
Image 4 (Supply and Demand of Teachers)
Supply and demand of teachers play a great factor in educational planning. The teacher-student
ratio, the facilities needed, and learning materials is anchored in the teacher-student ratio.
Write a short reflection on your understanding of the educational planning.
Indeed, educational planning necessitates a great deal of attention to detail. Enrollment
encapsulates everything more than infrastructure, supply, teaching staff, community, and financial
support. Indeed, the quantity of students we have becomes the foundation for everything.
Assessment
1. My Learning
Enrollment is the sole source of funding for schools from the government since low MOOE results
from low enrollment. As teachers, it is a yearly challenge to increase our enrollment numbers. As a senior
high school teacher in a barangay, persuading SHS students to choose our school is challenging. As early
registration begins, we barrio instructors must work double-time to convince SHS students to select our
school.
Plan of Actions

My Learning My Action Plan

Headcount is the basis for school budget and  Motivate inspiring prospects to pick our
support from the national. school over others. While meeting
enrollment goals, education teams
frequently overlook that a school is a
brand in its own right and must be treated
as such, especially since the most
acceptable form of education marketing is
storytelling. Thus, it is advised that the
school creates an endorsement video.
 Take the school-child-mapping seriously.
