The Child and Adolescent Learner and Learning Principles focuses on child and
adolescent development with emphasis on current research and theory in biological, linguistic,
cognitive social and emotional dimensions of development. Further, this includes factors that
affect the progress of development of each learner and shall include appropriate pedagogical
principles applicable for each developmental level. The program categories the child and
adolescent development into three (3) main parts, subdivided into units and furthers subdivided
into modules.
