Force Board - key parts of your report

 Title page:
Which includes: module title, experiment title, tutor’s name, student’s name and P number

 Excluding the title page; the core sections of the report should not exceed 6 pages including
the tables and the graph. Font size is 12.

 lab reports should be written using third person sentences

Structure of the report:

 Objectives:
Maximum three objective points.

 Results and calculations:


Include the three diagrams from the data set allocated to you.

For each diagram resolve the forces in horizontal and vertical directions

Make sure to convert the masses from grams to Newtons before resolving the forces

Make sure to state the final values (horizontal and vertical) in scientific notation. As an example:
-4.567 X 10-3 N

 Discussion:
Answer the questions in the lab-sheet; give scientific reasoning for your answers. (maximum 2
pages).

If you watch the video files for this experiment – you will be able to find the answers to these
questions.

 Conclusion:
Summarize the findings of the experiment in bullet points (about 1/3 of a page).
