R&R Unit Mandi rendered services

during pandemic
From 4th July, 2021,Vallabh Rovers and
Rangers unit Mandi made people aware
about covid pandemic for more than a
month.
Rover Vivek, Praveen and Ranger Shivali gave
their duty at Mandi.They appealed people to
wear mask properly and requested to not go
to market unnecessarly
Distribution of mask to the needy
people
On 6th August 2021,R&R Unit Mandi gave its
service to prevent the spread of corona by
making people aware of social
distancing,distributed mask and asked them
to wear mask properly.Rover Balveer ,
Praveen , Vivek, Ranger Aashima, Komal ,
Shivali, Diksha and Ritika gave their services.
Their working area included IndiraMarket ,
Seri Manch , ChauhtaBajar, Paddal and bus
standMandi.

IndependenceDayCelebration

On 15th August,2021 i.e. 74th Independence

day of India , hon’ble Chief Minister of HP Shri
Jai RamThakur presided over the function and
honoured the awardees. Rovers and Rangers
of R&R unit Mandi rendered their sevices in
which they helped police administration to
control the crowd and appealed people to
wear mask .

Celebration of International Peace

On 21st September 2021,Vallabh R&R unit
Mandi celebrated international peace day.
The head of the institute Dr.Yogender Pal
Sharma presided over the function.Under
the guidance of Rover leader Prof. Hemraj
Bhardwaj and Ranger leader Prof.
JyotiThakur program was successfully
organized in which Rover Balveer, Arun,
Ranger Meenakshi,Natisa delivered
speeches.
Service in one day cross country
competition
On 16thOcober 2021, to commemorate
Azadi ka AmritMahotsav VGC Mandi
organized one day cross country
competition. The District Youth Services
and Sports Officer ShriNareshThakur was
chief guest of the event. In the presence
of Rover leader Prof. HemrajBhardwaj and
Ranger leader Prof. JyotiThakur 20 Rovers
and Rangers rendered services.

Diwali
celebration with
children of the slum area
On 4th November 2021, R&R Unit Mandi
celebrated Diwali festival with slum
children in which scouts distributed
sweets,candles,calenders and organized
games and cultural activities.Total 68
people were present in the function
including 18 Rovers and Rangers.
Celebration of Foundation day
On 7th November 2021, R&R unit Mandi
celebrated foundation day under the
leadership of Principal VGC Mandi Dr. YP
Sharma with great pomp. Group leader
Dr. YP Sharma appreciated the work being
done by the R&R Unit Mandi. Rover leader
Prof. HemrajBhardwaj and Ranger leader
Prof. JyotiThakur thanked and ensured
that R&R unit

classes to slum
children every
Sundaythe work under his leadership.

Free Tuition Classes to slum children

14th November,2021 R&R Unit Mandi started
free tuition classes for children of the slum
area.Rover and Rangers of VGC Mandi Unit
taught slum children for more than a
month.They taught English ,Maths, Science
wit

fun.

Meenakshi, Reenu gave their services as tutor.

Police administration organized

“United against Drugs” movement
with R&R
On 28th February,2022 Police administration
Mandi organized “United Against Drugs” in
collaboration with rovers and rangers of VGC
Mandi. In this event painting and declamation
competition on “United Against Drug” theme
were held at Police Line Mandi. SP Mandi
Shalini Agnihotri mam and ASP Mandi Ashish
Sharma sir awarded scouts for their appreciable
work.

Rendered service in International

Shivratri Festival
On 2nd march, 2022R&R Unit Mandi worked
with police administration under the
guidance of SP MandiShaliniAgnihotri to
control crowde, asked people to wear mask
and helped senior citizens and handicapped
one to cross the road in heavy traffic.Group
leader Dr.YP Sharma admired the work
done by R&R Unit.
Patrol Leader Workshop
From 15th march to 19thmarch , 2022 ,8
rovers of R&R Unit Mandi participated in 4
days Patrol Leader Workshop and
performed very well. In this camp,Rovers
came to know about how to lead and run
unit in their respective colleges. Sh.
JyotiCharanChauhan was the leader of the
camp.Rover attended Lectures on scouting
and learnt about Patrol System through
games and also enjoyed campfire during
nights.
Service camp at Rewalsar
2 rovers and 3 rangers named Praveen
,Prikshit,Pooja,Sanjna and Rajnirendered
their services during scout master and guide
captain basic course camp w e.f. 24-06-
2022 to 30-06-2022 in which they
performed cleanliness of the
campus,helpedmess committee and also
worked in secretariat.
