excited?

When we say biscuits, these are pieces of dough

made from flour, water, sugar, baking powder

and shortening. The term biscuits comes from
the Latin word “bis” which means twice and
“coquere” which means cooked.
So, it essentially means “ twice cooked.”

Cookies are baked or cooked snack that is

typically soft and sweet.
Cookies have many ingredients compared to

biscuits. There are three categories of biscuits.

1. Drop cookies- The dough is dropped
from a spoon onto a baking tray and
then baked.
2. Rolled cookies- the dough is rolled into
a thick sheet, cut with a sharp knife and
then baked.
3. Sheet or molded cookies- the dough is
cut, pressed, or flattered using different
cookie cutters or molds.
In making cookies or biscuits a certain
measurement of the ingredients must be
followed in order to make it perfect and “ Yes ma’am”
balanced. Is everything clear?
Okay. So, let me show you the basic tips in
making sugar cookie dough and biscuits.
