At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
Identify properties and characteristics of starches.
Identify how to prepare starch dishes
Identify the different techniques, factors and considerations.
III. PROCEDURE
f. Activity
Let me ask you, what is starches?
What are the food or dishes that has
starch?
Okay so now I’II divide you into 3
groups, each group will be assigned
to give 1 sample of starch dishes. Give
the kind of starches used in the dish
and explain some various information
about your chosen dish
and later on, you will present it in
front. Yes Ma’am

Okay you may start now; I’ll give you
5 mins. to complete your task.

Okay, are you done? (Each group will present the assigned task
given to them in front)
You may starch presenting, okay Group 1
group one will be the first presenter Group 2
and so on. Group 3

In this game I have here the jar which
includes the list of your names, and if I
pick your names, you will be the one Yes Ma’am
who will answer my questions.

Essay:
Why is it important that we should know the proper techniques, factors and the things we need to
considered when preparing a starch dish/food?
V. ASSIGNMENT
Homework: "Family Starch Recipe"
Instruct the students to interview a family member or guardian and gather a favorite starch-
based recipe.
Have them write down the recipe, including measurements and cooking instructions.
Encourage creativity and personalization in the recipe.
The next class, ask the students to share their family starch recipes and discuss the importance
of passing down family food traditions.
