Lesson Plan in EPP 6


(Demonstration Method)

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of a 60-minute lesson, the Grade 6 pupils are expected to do the following
with at least 85% level of accuracy:
a. define what is table napkin folding;
b. identify the basic steps of table napkin folding technique; and
c. demonstrate the basic steps of table napkin folding technique.

IV. PROCEDURE:

A. INTRODUCTION/ STIMULUS PHASE

Good morning class! (Good morning teacher), before taking up your seat please pick-up
first the pieces of paper under you chair, and arrange your chairs properly, thank you class you
may now take your seat. How are you doing class? (Doing great teacher) great! Before we will
proceed to our discussion let me first check your attendance for today whenever I call your
family name, please raise your right hand and say “present teacher!” is that clear class? (Yes
teacher) ok let me start with Ms. Ajiju (Present teacher) ok great! You are all present and that’s
glad to notice.
You will be grouped to four and each group will work together later. But for now, I have
here my behavior chart and the group who behaves well throughout the discussion will be given
stars. Now, are you ready for a new and fun adventure here in our English class? Say! Ayay
teacher! I can’t hear you say Ayay teacher! Great! let’s get started

2. MOTIVATION
Now class, I do have here a picture in the board, and I want you to observe it and say
something about it. What can you see in the picture? (Fine dining table) right! The picture shows
a table. What can you see on the table? (Plates, glass, foods, drinks) Great! The table has plates,
glass, foods, and drinks. what do you think we usually have when we have this kind of table set
up? (Mealtime) Very good! On what days do you normally get together and eat as a family? On
Saturdays or Sundays? (Sundays, Teacher) Great! We normally get together and eat as a family
during Sundays but there are also some eats together when it is Saturday because more families
are complete on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Based on our picture, what do we usually add on our preparations to make mealtime more
special? (Table napkin) Very good! To make our mealtime even special, preparing table napkins
is one of the things we can do. Now have you ever tried to help preparing mealtime or making
table napkin before? (Yes) How was it? Can you share your experience to the class? (A pupil
shares experience to the class) Great, so, in this lesson you will find out how table napkin is done
and what are some of the table napkin techniques.
