    Report on the uses of the internet in the college

    Introduction

    The aims of this report are to: 

    1. Estimate the internet use in the college.


    2. Explain the advantages of using the internet in the college.
    3. Show my recommendations to increase the use of the internet in the college.

    In preparation for this report, I interviewed a cross-section of students at my university


    and I also asked many internet experts and teachers who believe that the internet could
    be a good tool to increase the education system in America. 

    Current situation

    At present, 80% of students say that they do not use the internet for academic goals. 

    According to this survey, the majority of students use the internet for entertainment. It is


    very common that many young people use the internet to watch youtube videos or speak
    with their friends through social media apps. 

    Advantages of using the Internet in a positive way

    Most experts believe that this relatively new digital tool could increase the level of the
    education system in the United States. This opinion is also shared by many university
    teachers who are convinced that the internet could be used in a more constructive way.

    In their view, the internet is: 

    a. The biggest source of free information in the world.


    b. Acts as a free virtual global university.
    c. The most international academy in human history.

    Recommendations

    In my view, a good way to increase the use of the internet in American colleges could
    be: 

    1. The creation of internet courses for teachers.


    2. The development of new rules which promote positive internet use.
