Necrophos

Lining

If we will compare him with Anti-mage - Necrophos is Anti-tank (now we will wait for Anti-agiler
in Dota 2.) But seriously, Necrophos is one of the greatest anti heroes against someone who
has more than 2000 HP.

Death Pulse

The lower the area of the fight, the more effective is our spell. Our main and only AoE nuke/heal.
Because of low cool down in mid game it can be used to farm creeps, in any amount. If you also
have Sadist spell leveled up, you will restore all the wasted mana.

This is interesting

 The amount of targets is limitless, the only condition –they all have to be in the radius of effect.
 If enemy is invisible and he is in the range of effect he won’t get hit, but if Death Pulse already flew
to the hero, going to invisibility won’t save him.
 This Pulse may fly to target through all the map; there are a lot of funny videos on that topic.
 The spell is used almost immediately and has no visible animation. It helps a lot to pick the right
moment for use and hit as much heroes as possible.
 Ability can hit foes through fog of war.
Heartstopper Aura

The more we live, the less HP our enemies have. This spell damages not with the damage but
reducing the HP. It means that:

- This spell does not cancel  Healing Salve and  Clarity.

- Damage is pure and It cannot be reduced – that means 1.5% of HP per second and that is true.

- Spell works through  Black King Bar.

This is interesting

 Does not matter whether enemy is close to Necrophos or on the verge of range of effect, the
damage will be the same.
 Invisible enemies will also get this damage.
 This is probably the only spell in Dota 2 that does not care about the amount of HP, because
theoretically if enemy has no HP regeneration and he has all 6 slots, our passive spell with level 4
will kill him for 67 seconds.

Sadist

More we kill more we live. Thanks to this spell we have great mana and HP regeneration when we
kill, and if we will have this spell on max we can spam Death Pulse as much as we want, because
our mana will be restored.

This is interesting

 This spell provokes you to steal creeps and heroes from your allies, to get the regeneration you wait
for.
 If we will use Reapers Scythe on target and he died before the damage was dealt, kill will still be
ours and so will be regeneration.
Reaper's Scythe

The lower HP our enemies have the more chances we have to kill them. One of the most powerful
spells in Dota2. Because the damage is not fixed, and it depends on the amount of HP left, this
spell is actual during all the game. We should always try to kill the target with Reaper’s Scythe
because only in that way we will get regeneration.

This is interesting

 This is the only spell that does not allow our victim to buy back, of course if we have  Aghanim's
Scepter. With this item damage also becomes pure, and no magical resist can help.
 Reaper’s Scythe will stun the target with  Black King Bar, but won’t deal the damage.
 Does not work on Shallow Grave of Dazzle.
 Reaper's Scythe adds +30% duration to the respawn timer.

Early game for Necrophos(up to 15 minute)

What I should do?

Necrophos is a great mider. That’s where we will go.

On start we should buy: Gauntlets of Strength,  Circlet, 3x Iron Branch,  Tango.

Some parts we will keep to buy [Drums of endurance] in the future

If we are playing against melee hero we should level up through Death Pulse and Heartstopper
aura, to prevent enemy from farm. If we have ranged hero against us, we should level up
Sadist instead of aura, thus nor our opponent nor we will be able to do anything (but a lot
depends on runes and ganks).
Because we didn't by  Bottle, we should ask our teammates to get the responsibility to
control the runes, as well as our enemy.

7th level and all the items means that it’s time to gank.

Middle game for Necrophos(from 15 till 35 minute)

What I should do?

It's time to buy [Drums of endurance]. Now we should choose either to be tank or Damage
dealer. Depending on that we should buy  Mekansm or  Shadow Blade.

If we chose second, rarer variant, then our goal is to cast Death Pulse to all the enemies from
the invisibility. If we were not stunned we should run for the enemy who has low HP (if there is
one) or towards our team, the main thing is not to stand and use auto attack that is not our
choice.

As soon as we see that our Death Pulse is ready we should come closer to crowd of enemies
again (even if they are just creeps) and use Death Pulse. By that time there should be a victim
ready for our ultimate, that we will use and get our HP and mana regeneration, if we already
have Sadist of course. If we are alive still it’s time to use  Shadow Blade, so we will be
invisible and we may retreat or finish the enemy. That’s how our fights should be like.

Late game for Necrophos(from 35 minute)

What I should do?

In this game stage, it’s time for our ultimate and we need to think if we need  Aghanim's
Scepter or not. We should buy it if our goal is to focus single dangerous enemy or take the buy
back from some hero like Nature’s Prophet, or give pure damage for someone like Pudge.

Many heroes should have  Black King Bar by now that’s why it’s important not to use
ultimate on heroes with BKB on, of course if our goal is kill but not stun, or live longer to wait
until the end of BKB, while doing the damage with Death Pulse and our aura.

We will get  Scythe of Vyse to get the Hex and disable powerful enemies.

They say that Necrophos is not a late hero, but he can be a great surprise when he will live for
30 seconds in fight, and kill some Spectre with Ultimate and turn over the fight.
