value chain ranging from diagnostics to implementation and capability transfer
• Provide a view of potential upside value in a M&A transaction, via assessing target’s GTM
performance and maturity on key capabilities
• Improve commercial performance via assessing their compensation design, and better alignment
between cost & revenue functions

ABOUT GTM TRANSFORMATION TEAM

• BCN GTM Transformation team, as part of Bain’s expert client delivery network, has the vision to
lend expertise, speed and competitiveness to Bain’s ProfitCube and Partner Sonar projects
through co-developing and deploying products and delivering client-specific solutions/ analyses
• GTM Transformation covers the ProfitCube product which is used to compute true profitability and
take actions to improve it
• Team evaluates sales and profitability by product mix, end-to-end customer profitability,
production cost by product and more. Visualization dashboards are prepared to evaluate both
margin expansion and top-line growth opportunities
• We help Bain clients to capture value across the value chain-from problem identification,
solution designing, and implementation, to capability transfer. Specifically, ProfitCube guides
decisions about customers and products, logistics and cost management, salesforce effectiveness,
and pricing optimization

POSITION SUMMARY:

B2B ProfitCube Associate should possess the ability to handle work streams independently within a
case project and deliver client-ready outputs and analysis. You are staffed 100% on a client project or
product development efforts and works under the guidance of the Project Leader or Manager, playing a key
role in driving the team’s overall strategy to generate relevant and actionable business insights to serve
clients and playing a key role in output delivery and client communication.

You support the team management as at times may be required to manage 1-3 analysts and take
responsibility for sharing information across workstreams. You work with case teams across geographies
and industries; however, you focus almost exclusively on ProfitCube related projects.

Core Responsibilities and Duties


• Brainstorming with the Project Leader on various aspects of casework which ranges across multiple
workstreams of data analysis
• Work with project leader for effective working cadence, communication and expectation
management with various project stakeholders (such as Bain teams, onshore specialists and
experts)
• Bring strong problem solving skills clubbed with specialised knowledge of various analytical
tools and best practices to deploy them
• Understand client/project needs and situations and help team adapt to project expectations and
evolving needs. Proactively provide technical inputs to the internal team members
• Communicate data and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team
• Drive conversations through analytics to help drive insights through data analysis and story-
lining the deliverable to prove/disprove hypotheses in the best interest of the client/project.
• Ensure timely, error-free research, analysis and output produced by the analysts. Generate and
screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions
• Consistently provide responsible feedback, coaching and mentoring to analysts working with
them to address their professional development needs. Also assist in writing reviews for analysts
(as required)
• Assist in other team activities (e.g., training, events etc.)

Qualification:
• Candidates should be graduates from top-tier colleges with strong academic records and 2-4 years
of hands-on industry experience in data analytics/ consulting preferably with cost allocation
experience
• Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, work planning,
communication and team leading skills. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are
required. Proficiency and experience in analytical tools (such as Alteryx, Tableau) will be
preferred
