CONDUCT OF SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON THE USE OF HARMONIOUS GENDER

AND DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES TO MAINSTREAM GAD ELEMENTS IN
THE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT CYCLE

1. The Schools Division Office of Aurora through the Division Gender and Development Focal
Point System (DGFPS), announces the conduct of Seminar-Workshop on the Use of Harmonious
Gender and Development Guidelines to Mainstream GAD Elements in the Project Development
Cycle on October 13 – 14, 2022 for Cluster 1 and October 17 – 18, 20022 for Cluster 2 respectively
at a venue to be announce later.

2. The training aims to:

a. familiarize on the different Gender and Development elements that are present in the
project development cycle;
b. internalize the importance of Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines
(HGDG) in assessing the gender-responsiveness of the programs, projects and
activities;
c. realize that applying HGDG as a tool significantly influence the rest of the
organizations’ processes/ programs to be more gender-responsive; and
d. intensify the implementation of gender – responsive activities through crafting and
submission of the school’s GAD Plan and Budget for FY 2023.

3. The participants in the GAD activiy are the elementary and secondary school GAD
Coordinators divided into two culster as shown below. They are requested to register in the link

4. A registration of PhP 900.00 shall be collected from each participants to be paid during the
conduct of the training to cover expenses for food, venue and other materials chargeable against
School MOOE particularly GAD Fund and other local funds. Also travel and other incdental
expenses of the participants shall be charged agaisnt school MOOE and otehr local funds subject to
usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

5. Immediate and wide dissemination of the content of this Memorandum is desired.
