2. During the 1st roll-out and simultaneous conduct of the self-assessment of the
tool nationwide on October 2022 to March 2023, the baseline data revealed that there
are only 12 Functional SGCs (out of 9,869 secondary schools) in the country and DepEd
SOCCSKSARGEN Region has ZERO (0) SGC functionality. However, there are schools
that obtained comparative scores that are potential to be functional. Kindly open the

3. In order to achieve the region’s target of 25% (157 schools) SGC Functionality
from November 2022 to February 2024, this office enjoins all SDOs to organize their
DFTATs to provide technical assistance and roll-out the SGC Functionality
Assessment Tool.
4. Priority schools for the functionality assessment are SBM Level 3 public
secondary schools and those potential schools with scores in the baseline data. Public
elementary schools may use the tool for self-assessment only in preparation for the roll-
out next school year but are NOT REQUIRED to accomplish the tool via Google Forms.
6. It is reiterated that the sets of guidelines and policies in the conduct of the
technical assistance, gathering of data and validation process to schools must be strictly
followed. The organized SGCs must be responsible in answering the tool as well as the
uploading of MOVs.

8. All concerned are advised to use the assigned link per SDO in answering the tool
and uploading of MOVs.
