Are there any TV channels in your country that don’t have
adverts?

endorsements also get on my nerves … Everyone knows they’re
only doing it because they’re getting paid.

What are the best ways for ordinary people to advertise


something they want to sell in your country?
The simplest way is to place an advert in the classified ads

Vietnam. I've seen it advertised everywhere, on posters and TV
commercials.

What it was about
 The advert shows a short video of many people wearing Grab
uniforms, they are surfing in the air and food is falling from the

 I think the aim is to target office worker and connect the
brand with sales on holiday

bottle of Coke. I think the aim is to target children and associate the
brand with Christmas time.

holding different bottles of fresh milk with various eye-catching
colours. I think the aim is to target children and associate the brand
with everyday activities.
Why you think it was an interesting advertisement
 The advert is interesting because the company is trying to
influence and attract everyone đối tượng nào. The marketers
are trying to capture busy young customers who have less
time. nhóm khách hàng nào cần gì.
 They are presenting the delivery servise as something special,
lots of vourcher for every months. loại sản phẩm đặc biệt cho
sự kiện/thời điểm gì. 
 However, sản phẩm gì is not necessarily loại sản phẩm tốt for
đối tượng nào; it contains nhiều thành phần gì không tốt.
Maybe this kind of advertisement.

think this kind of advertisement is useful both for people and
the company.

I'm going to talk about an advertisement for Coca-Cola, which is
one of the biggest brands in the world. I've seen Coke advertised
everywhere, on posters and TV commercials.

Well … when a company launches a product they have to consider


the Internet … especially how it can be used to spread the word
on social media … so in this context a video that goes viral is
probably the most effective type of advert you could make.
What are the advantages to companies of advertising on the
Internet rather than TV?

(n) target audience = target customers : khách hàng mục tiêu.


(n) a niche product : sản phẩm mục tiêu.
(v) bring out a product = launch a product : quảng bá sản phẩm.
(v) a tight advertising budget : chi phí quảng cáo eo hẹp.

I’d imagine the main advantage is you can reach your target
audience much more
effectively … if you bring out a niche product for example … or
you have a tight advertising budget … you can advertise on
particular sites that the people you want to reach visit … that’s not
something you can do on TV.

What things do advertising companies do that might give it a


bad name?

(n) cold calling : gọi liên tục.


(n) junk mails : các thư rác.
(n) spam emails : thư điện tử rác.
(n) letterbox : hòm thư.

For me the most irritating thing is cold calling … we must get two
or three of these every day at work … then there’s junk mail that
gets posted through the letterbox … and of course the online
equivalent of this … spam emails … I think it’s this kind of
advertising that tends to annoy people.
