I'm going to talk about an advertisement for Vinammilk, which is
one of the biggest brands in Vietnam. I've seen its different
products advertised everywhere, on some websites as well as
entertainment channels on the internet and TV commercials.
The advert shows a picture of little cows dancing, smiling and
holding different bottles of fresh milk with various eye-catching
colours. I think the aim is to target children and associate the brand
with everyday activities.
The advert is interesting because the company is trying to influence
and attract children and parents. The marketers are trying to
capture both young and adult customers. They are presenting the
drink as something special, an important drink for daily life. It is true
that milk is necessarily a healthy drink for children; it contains a lot
of nutrients. I think this kind of advertisement is useful both for
people and the company.

What is it that makes an advert effective?

(Example) video nổi tiếng, những hình ảnh hoặc câu chuyện hay.
(Aspect 2) Paper, tạp chí, tờ rơi
(How) phổ biến ở các nhóm cộng đồng như quán cafe, siêu thị.
(Example) Tạp chí nổi tiếng với hình ảnh đẹp, câu chuyện hay và
những phân khúc quảng cáo đặc biệt gây ấn tượng người đọc về
sản phẩm.
I’d imagine the main advantage is you can reach your target
audience much more
effectively … if you bring out a niche product for example … or
you have a tight advertising budget … you can advertise on
particular sites that the people you want to reach visit … that’s not
something you can do on TV.
For me the most irritating thing is cold calling … we must get two
or three of these every day at work … then there’s junk mail that
gets posted through the letterbox … and of course the online
equivalent of this … spam emails … I think it’s this kind of
advertising that tends to annoy people.
