EM WAVES APPLICATION IN HOME

1. Cellphones and the internet. Cellphones have been increasingly more

useful as time goes by. It makes use of electromagnetic waves in the form
of radio waves which allow us to talk to each other through it. Another
thing that it utilizes, along with many other devices, is the internet. The
internet makes use of electromagnetic radiation to transfer information
through space.

2. Microwaves. Microwaves are a commodity in any household. It is the

easiest and most convenient way to heat up food quickly and efficiently.
Sure, it may be better to use a stove and pan in some situations but in
terms of simplicity, it cannot get any simpler than this.

3. Computers. Phones and computers have become the norm in today’s

society. As a specie who has charted the surface, the next step we can do
is connect all of it, and we did just that. Computers have many moving
parts and almost all of them utilize EM waves to some extent. Be it
through the screen or through the little chips inside the system unit, they
are present everywhere.

4. And lastly, light bulbs. Light bulbs do not directly make use of EM waves
but it does emit it to some degree. This is a must have in anywhere in the
world as this is a revolutionary invention that will never go away. Unlike
bats, we actually have to see things to perceive them. We didn’t evolve
with built in night vision or echolocation because we had access to fire
way back then. This just makes it easier for us to traverse our planet even
in darkness.
