B. MOTIVATION:

Show pictures of a family. What can you see in the picture? Who are the members of the family? Have
the children name them. ( Integrated in Araling Panlipunan Who are the members of the Family)

PRESENTATION:

Have the children listen to this poem.


My Home
Mother dear, Baby sweet
A little house, where we sleep
Brother tall, father strong
All of these make my home.
Who is dear? Who is sweet? Who is tall? Who is
strong?
Look at this …..

What is the picture about? Who is this? ( father) and this one ( sister) Who is this? ( mother) and this
one ? ( baby)

How many are they in this family? ( five)

Name them again.( father,mother,brother,sister,and baby)

3. ACTIVITY: Teacher shows picture cards in a pocket chart and word cards for the family members.

Get the picture from the pocket chart and name the family members in the picture

Do you also have a family of your own? Who are the members in your family? How many members of
your family? Can you count them? ( Integrated in Mathematics by counting how many members of their
family)
